John is a veteran speaker who has spoken to hundreds of audiences in corporate America, in government, nonprofits and in association meetings. He routinely gets only the highest reviews. He delights, informs and inspires audiences from all corporate backgrounds and walks of life. John has a passion for markets that work for everyone and specializes in leadership development and business-smart workplaces. His work has taken him to engagements on five continents.

John is a speaker who knows business and the non-profit and government sectors as well. His clients include Sprint Nextel, Applebee's, the Department of the Army, Adventist HealthCare, and a host of universities. He founded and sold two consulting and training firms, has coached CEOs and executives since 1988, and has spoken to, coached and mentored CEO coaches and mentors in the U.S. and Australia for the last several years. He is a shareholder and mentor with Merryck & Co., the CEO mentoring firm located in New York, London and Sydney. He is also a board member of SIAS International University in Henan Province, China, and teaches leadership and strategy in the executive MBA program at a Jesuit university in Kansas City. His own educational background includes receiving his BA and MA in English, graduating summa cum laude from Xavier University.

John has been twice published by the venerable academic John Wiley and Sons and by the innovative publisher Berrett Koehler (publisher for Peter Block, Meg Wheatley and Beverly Kaye, among others). His five books have sold tens of thousands of copies. His most recent book, Answering Your Call: A Guide to Living Your Deepest Purpose, was runner-up for Book of the Year in the Self-Development field for independent publishers.
